Thomas Freel named CCHL Week 2 Player of the Week

Ottawa, ON – Ottawa Jr. Senators ’01 born forward Thomas Freel has been named the CCHL Week 2 Player of the Week.

Freel, 20, recorded two goals and added four assists through two Jr. Senators wins over the Carleton Place Canadians and Navan Grads last week. The Ottawa, Ontario native registered two goals and two assists in last Wednesday’s 8-4 victory at home to CP and a pair of helpers in Sunday’s win in Navan.

The Jr. Senators captain leads the way offensively across the CCHL through four games played with three goals and seven assists.

Freel and the Jr. Senators continue to roll out of the gates to start the CCHL season as they see their sit at 4-0. It’s a feat that hasn’t been accomplished since the 2015-2016 edition of the Jr. Senators began the year 6-0.
